DescriptionMercury from artisanal and small-scale gold mining (AGM) may represent 30% of the Hg anthropogenic pollution. The information about the extent of the environmental and health impacts is still poorly documented. Since 1994, the ICMGP has received a crescent number of works revealing the size of the problem that is affecting at least 55 countries and affecting the lives of at least 100 million people.
